M2Mi & DHS S&T Directorate announce Commercial Management and Open Source “M2M Security Suite” at IoT World 2017, Santa Clara, CA

NASA Research Park, Moffet Field, CA  – May 16th 2017 - Machine-to-Machine Intelligence (M2Mi) Corporation, a leading supplier of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) Cyber security Management and applications, today announced that M2Mi and the DHS S&T Directorate Cyber security will announce an approved “M2M Security Suite” at IoT World 2017.

M2Mi was the first company to introduce and define the “M2M and IoT Platform” and then quickly followed by “IoT Applications”. M2Mi has been a leader in the creation of unique and innovation M2M Security solutions. Throughout the evolution of the M2M and IoT landscape M2Mi continues to introduce groundbreaking innovation and establish clear business and technical leadership in the area of “IoT Security”.

AES is the dominant security protocol for Government, Classified and Secure Enterprise solutions. However, AES due to resource constraints can't operate within the small form factors that are popular with IoT devices and services. Thus, today’s IoT Solutions are like “Swiss cheese” and cannot be approved for Government, Classified or Secure Enterprise Services. Hence, why IoT Devices suffer so many hacker compromises.

The DHS Science & Technology Directorate Cyber security issued a multi-phase award M2Mi to design and deliver an “IoT Security Suite” that would comprehensively address end-to-end Cyber IoT Security using small form factor cryptography partly based on the SPECK algorithms; suitable for Government, Classified and Secure Enterprise Solutions.

“M2Mi is grateful to have worked on the SPECK protocol and for award and support of the DHS S&T Directorate Cyber security. This announcement of a commercial management and open source approved solution finally delivers a true end-to-end- secure service potentially adopted and trusted by billions of devices and users across the global. We built the IoT security suite with C, Java, Hash Messaging, OAuth and OpenSSL support. We worked hard to “FIX IOT SECURITY FOR EVERYBODY – With the approval of the DHS Science & Technology Directorate" and we achieved it, said Geoffrey Barnard, CEO of M2Mi.
