We are also capable of connecting to devices in multiple ways – cellular, internet, or even satellite. The modular design of the M2M Intelligence application offering categories of capabilities makes it easy for you to start from your current needs. For example you can start with just the connectivity and device management in Network Services, adding on deeper security policies with Security Management and even in-stream analytics from Data Services when you need those capabilities. The M2M Intelligence application is priced based on the categories of services you use along with the number of devices supported and the traffic they generate and can grow with your needs.

The M2M Intelligence application includes our patented Lockbox security technology as an in-built capability. Every asset, transaction and message is protected by default and you have to explicitly change policies to allow access. This security-by-default and whitelist approach makes the Lockbox technology the best way to secure your connected ecosystem. The M2M Intelligence application runs across a variety of clouds. Today, many of our customers use us via the IBM Cloud Marketplace environment using our integration onto IBM SoftLayer. However, we have the capability to use the cloud that you want - including Google, Amazon, Oracle, GE Predix or an OpenStack implementation.

The M2M Intelligence application is designed to be used across multiple industry scenarios. With our ability to on-board/manage diverse types of devices and sensors, connect to them across cellular, IP networks, support diverse protocols such as MQTT, SCADA, DDS and provide deep security, the M2M Intelligence provides a valuable modular application for you to build your connected industry business. The M2M Intelligence application is priced very simply based on the services you need (Network, Data, Security and Business) and the resources you consume. M2M Intelligence calculates the number of device connections and the amount of data passing through these connections as the basis of resource consumption. This is charged as a monthly subscription.
