Tiburon, CA Thursday 29th July 2021 – Machine-To-Machine Intelligence (M2Mi) announced today that the corporation will remain in stealth mode to focus on the market introduction of emerging applications that deliver innovative global societal impact.

M2Mi worked with the Siemens HQ team in Germany to design and deliver 4G Multi-Media Communication systems with a focus on automation and security. It was this early work that lead to a decade long relationship with NASA.
M2Mi was an early pioneer in 2006 in the market for the Internet of Things a market born from Machine-To-Machine (M2M) communications. In 2008, M2Mi made history as the third and to this date the latest company to hire NASA ( link: https://www.nasa.gov/home/hqnews/2008/apr/HQ_08107_Ames_nanosat.html) and establish the technologies and business for 5G ( link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/5G#History ). Geoffrey Barnard, whom drove the agreement with NASA, leveraged his prior experience with Siemens and 4G to define the 5G technologies that are now being implemented. Barnard, with equal strength and respect for business and technical disciplines, published a series of business-models’ decades ahead of the market from financial services through to IoT.
M2Mi next move was too pioneer IoT Platforms via its work with Vodafone, wherein IoT provided global services to a fleet of connected mobiles devices, the platform required minimal support due to high levels of automation and lessons learnt from M2Mi’s intimate relationship with NASA.
Security & Privacy have been one of the most pressing pain-points for the Internet of Things and in this area M2Mi excelled via its work for the US Department of Homeland, Science & Technology for Cyber Security. M2Mi’s work for DHS lead to the introduction of a comprehensive open source IoT Security suite and provided IoT and 5G cryptographic services that delivered twice the performance of existing AES security.
Like many in our communities. M2Mi was very challenged with the COVID-19 pandemic. Continuing operations in stealth mode has allowed M2Mi to continue its focus on new emerging social impacts.
